RECIPE FOR REDUCING CHOLESTEROL

Cholesterol and big size blogger. Sounds like best friend. Well buddies, I received this from my friend, via Yahoo mail and I find it is interesting. OK, now let me reveal the secret recipe for reducing cholesterol level.

It is believed that this soup actually had helped one man to avoid a bypass surgery after he drank this soup every morning for 25 days! For the normal person, just drink it once in a while.

RECIPE FOR REDUCING CHOLESTEROL

Ingredients:
1) black fungus (80g)
2) old ginger (80g)
3) red dates (10)

Method:

1) Soak the black fungus in water until it is soft and then wash it clean.
2) Cut the ginger (without removing the skin) into roughly 8 slices.
3) Remove the seeds from the red dates.
4) Put all the ingredients into a slow cooker.
5) Add in 8 cups of water into the cooker.
6) Cook the mixture for 6 hours using low heat.

Note: If you start cooking at say 9 pm, the soup should be ready for drinking by 6 am.

NUFFNANG, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO CASH MY CHEQUE? HAHA!!

Hhahhaha!!

This isn't something that I can brag about. But I'm getting fed up with it. RM 48.41. My blog is so boh-ring! Some blog just born in Feb 2010, but has thousands followers. I always blame it on my English. I wanna blog in MALAY!!!! I guess I can be more expressive. Wait. No. No. Please no, I will curse more in MALAY. Haha.

Anyway, today it is cold. There's no evidence of peeping sunlight but I'm so happy. No. I didn't hit any jackpot. But I hit someone with my work progress. Guess what? I'm back on the track, really I am. Office work, done smoothly. I'm so proud of myself that I can do multi-task works and still can smile the next day. I survive.

OK. OK. I know you don't get it right? I made boss feels so good these few days which means I'm doing OK and not under stress anymore. Now I wanna focus to other things in life like blogging and burgers. Haha. Burgers huh?

Yes, I smile the whole day like this lady. Gorgeous!

Tomorrow is Saturday and I am gonna visit my Mom and Ted. I miss them so much. Not forgetting my cute lil niece, Ashlyn and her brother, Lancelot. Mak, I'm coming! Don't forget my 'Kopi O Kaw' OK? Don't worry Mak, I'm going to give your allowance tomorrow so must cook nice things for me, haha.

I love this picture. It was taken a couple of years ago. Yeah, he's my brother, Thadeus @ Ted.

Eh, I need to cut my fingernails. So fugly. Till then, bubbye!!

I MISS THEM, ALL..

Wow....

It's been ages since I last updated my blog. Very sorry readers, I'm packed with my office stuff what else? Works. This week has been so cruel to me and I feel guilty as the impact also hit my girls - Surie, Elfyna and Zuriana. Don't worry guys, I have now found the way to tackle the obstacles. Just snap my fingers!

Oh yes, this time I'm gonna share some pictures which I find so nostalgic. The first two pictures were taken at Hijau, BDC. Let me share you the story.

This is Curry Mee, made by Asep of Zaihana Corner. RM5.00 really worth it. What I love about this particular dish is the condiments are unlimited! Haha. I shared this with hubby and yet, I felt so bloated. The level of spiciness is definitely OK for me. I love spicy food. Sad to say, this dish is no longer sold at Hijau.

Another one hit, or should I say one night (stand) wonder of Hijau was this particular dish. Penang Char Mee @ Mee Goreng Pulau Pinang. I love this type of noodle, it is fried yet not too oily. Love the condiments like fresh sweet prawns and cockles. Yum. Again, it was sold for one night.

Huh???!! Calm down. Haha. Got this from my old Photobucket album. Gabby was 4 years old then. Cute ain't she? She's now a beautiful tween, sleeping alone and has started using deodorant!

Yippie!!!!

CHILDHOOD SNACK - CHICKADEES

I still remember Mom always bought this for me whenever she went out to do grocery shopping. Chickadees was so damn delicious that time. It was considered a pop culture in the 80's - famous 'keropok' was Chickadees, famous instant noodles were Maggi and Indomie. Famous detergent - Fab, famous ladies pad - Modest and Daun ahaaaaahhahh!!

I bought a few packets last week and to my surprise, the taste isn't as the same I had 20 years ago. I find it saltier.

My current favourite snack? Cannot tell. I just love banana chips. Kerepek Pisang as what they are known locally. Very crispy and crunchy!

FAREWELL PARTY FOR KAK SHAIRAH

She's bidding farewell to us last week after serving for more than 35 years. A loyal friend, she's like a mother to us, meet Shairah Tahir. We call her 'Kak Saerah'. Apart of being funny, she has all the good qualities possessed as a mother. As a results, all her 5 children, (4 boys & 1 girl) are graduated from university. A real housewife can do that but she's a career woman plus the untold stories of her furthered studies for the her promotion and I sound exaggerated! Haha. I really want to be like her, successful in both career life and as a wife (mom).

With her colleagues. Special goodbye gift from Nursing Division. Special person deserves special gift don't you think so?

Some friends who attended her small farewell party. Nursing Division initially was under Medical care programme so most of us were present. Still keeping in touch!

A party is incomplete without food. Yes, Matron Yati sponsored 'Kak Aza Nasi Lemak' the famous Hung Hung's Stall Nasi Lemak. Love the Chicken Rendang so much! Elfyna was helping herself with the yummy Nasi Lemak.

The only crazy guy joining us that day. Meet Gariey Sia. A new kid on the block joining the Lunch Hour Crazy Club. We were on the way to our room when we saw these lovely decorations for Gawai at the office lobby. Gariey grab the traditional hat and I snapped his picture.

The only thing that screwed this picture? He was holding two Kiwi fruits. Where got Iban eating Kiwi fruits meh Gariey?? Haha.

SNOGGING SATURDAY

What a lovely movie to start my Saturday. The title itself sounds eccentric; Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Wow. A perfect snogging (to kiss and cuddle in British). What draws my attention is the story plot that kinda reminds me of my teenage days.

20 years ago, we girls played hard to get, lol unlike these days. Those days there were no emails or handphones to get connected or sending texts. Even our lunch money was very small unlike what my daughter gets everyday. Believe it or not, I was given only RM1.00 everyday - 60 cents for bus fare to and fro and the balance, 40 cents enough to buy 2 popiahs. Drinks, I just diluted my own Rose cordial. cool My daughter brings RM4.00 everyday, equal to my 4 days lunch money!

My friends, our gangs are considered lucky enough because we were so popular and we never ran out of stocks (boys). Haha! We broke up with one this week, we'll get another one next week. Wow. That's what we call, a real reputation. It didn't mean that we are a bunch of school whor*s but we were actually picky when it comes to boys. We would date the hottest guys in schools including athletes, school prefects, the good looking ones, haha.

Dating spots? This is very interesting. 2 best places - library and school canteen. Normally accompanied by couple of friends to cover up the 'affairs'. Nah, you tell me. Young readers out there would laugh when they are reading this. What I see nowadays, couples under 15 are easily sneaked out from the house, holding hands publicly, kissing and embracing each other freely, watching movies and some will go and check-in cheap hotels.

Things have gone different way nowadays, far more advancing day by day. When I look at my daughter's face, I wonder how would it be when she turns 16, 6 more years from now. I just chuckle. mrgreen

888 BUBBLE GUM, MY CHILDHOOD CHEWING GUM

Found these babies when I shopped at nearby grocery store. I still remember when those balls were actually bigger in size and the sweetness was just alright.

7 packets are sold for RM1.00 but the balls are slightly smaller than in the 80's. Oh, taste so damn too sweet for me.

Children of the 80's, do you still remember these gumballs?

OLA JULY!

Welcome to the 7th month of the year. Where have we gone so far?

  • Ariel 'Peterporn's video spread on the internet,
  • England, Portugal, Italy and other big names have said bye bye to the World Cup this year,
  • I don't have enough time to blog and when I'm free, I'm running out of idea,
  • My appetite is killing me back!

Yes. I hate my appetite, I need to suppress my elephant's appetite. Very very bad for me. Haha. Let us recap what is happening lately. At home, things are like usual. MIL's screaming, nephew's tantrum, Gabby had moved to a new room and sleeps alone. Mama's girl is a tween now!

Workloads are as usual giving me hard time but I love it, I love being busy and occupied all the times. Don't know what kind of surprise this life will give after this? Frankly speaking, we're so affected emotionally and financially.

I just let where my life leads me, after a long, serious, heart to heart conversation with hubby, he's finally agreed. Thanks love. You really understand this stubborn lady. Need to change the wind, changing new direction and looking for a better Feng Shui, perhaps?

Whatever it is, que sera sera, what ever will be, will be......
