UNCLE LIM’S CHICKEN RICE @ SEKAMA

Hubby and I went out to pick up our Kek Lapis ordered thru a friend and we met up just nearby the famous Wisma Hopoh. After that we tried to look for a good spot to have our lunch and ended up at Sekama. Oh, did I tell you that I was trying to skip rice and replace rice with noodles and other goodies? Well, I took that day as my escape day and we chose to eat Chicken Rice! Yayyy! So here we are at Uncle Lim’s Chicken Rice.

It is actually one of the stalls that operated by Uncle Lim’s CafĂ©. Serves basic meat for Chicken Rice dish like Char Sio Bak, Steamed Chicken, BBQ Chicken and they serve Chicken Curry Rice too!

We ordered everything, all type of meat plus a bowl of Chicken Curry and it comes with a complimentary Chicken Soup. That hot afternoon, I washed down everything with a can of Coke.

I definitely would like to recommend this shop because the premise is clean and the price is reasonable too.

A DAY BEFORE GAWAI DAYAK

We visited Dad's grave on 31st May, as promised. We did not celebrate as Dad had just passed on 7 months ago and we thought it was better to let go any celebrations in the first year. We really miss him at this moment because he is the one who will be in charge of every single process like painting the house, interior deco and cooking.

He loved spicy food like Beef Curry, Ayam Masak Merah, Lamb Curry etc.

He would quarrel with us if we're doing our chores very slowly because everyone was so playful.

This year, his voice are no longer screaming and yelling at us, only memories remain and cherished forever.

Happy Gawai Dad, hope you're happy up there with Uncle Reynold @ El-Rey, don't drink too much, take care of yourself. We miss you so, so, so much. We love you Dad. We truly do. Oh yes, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY in advance Dad!

p/s: Oh yes Dad, Mom said to do cement works at your grave on your 1st anniversary. Hope you're gonna love our combined ideas. I promise.

PIGEONS SIGHTINGS

OK people, this is the place where we always buy our burger supplies.  It is located next to Dormani Hotel.  One Saturday morning, I followed hubby to buy our stocks.  I just waited inside the car since the drizzles were pouring.  My focus shoot on a few stale buns thrown outside of the shop.

Then, came a couple of pigeons, came over and ate the buns!!  Ohh, how cute they are, I took out my hp and took these pictures.

She's fat so like me.  Lol.

NEW HANDPHONE - DO I NEED ONE?

Keeping on asking myself, should I buy a new handphone.  I remember few years back, I will change my phone when its lifespan reaches one year. So does to my current handphone, Sony Ericsson G900.  He will turn one (he? is my G900 a male? Haha!) soon and I've been thinking to buy a new one with bigger screen like Xperia, Aino, Vivaz etc.. (I'm a Sony's fanatic fan!),

When I checked back the pictures album and all the beautiful pictures that he took, it touched my heart.  You have been working for me for nearly a year, giving me the best quality pictures I've never expected from a descent phone.  Yes, I bought him for RM890.00 at OneTJ.

Brownies with hazelnut.  OMG.  Drool.  Love the chocolaty sauce.

My watermelon juice.  The glass is tall and stylish but not the quantity, This big fellow actually needs a gallon. Haha!
Lovely carrot cake.  I still want to chuckle everytime I look at this cake, it reminds me of the so 'clever' waiter who kept on claiming that this is a 'White Brownie'.  Whatever, this cake is delicious!

No.  I just keep my intention for the time being.  I still love 'him'.  Recently something so cute caught my mind.  I want one!  I want one!! Hehe.

MY FAVOURITE PAU!

Every family has their own favourite spot for their favourite snack. What? Ours?? Oh yes, of course we do have one. This time is none other than Bak Pau. Check this signboard that lies before the 3rd Mile Bus Terminal and Boulevard Mall.

Recall this signboard anyone?

That is my Shrek, picking his favourite pau - the Char Sio Pau. Uh uh, not my favourite but....

Look at my favourite, Bak Pau with egg. Have I made you drooling already by looking at this picture? Be careful, the Pau is steaming hot! Go early as normally after 5:00 p.m. only Chai Pau (Veggies Pau) are left, the yummy ones finished by big eaters like us. Haha.

Oh, one more thing. Please don't forget buy the freshly home made Tauhu Chui (Soy Bean) drinks. So refreshing to eat the hot pau inside the car and strolling around Kuching city. That's how we normally do our evening driving while enjoying the sunset.

JUST ANOTHER HECTIC WEEK

This pic was taken at 7:25 a.m. today from my office window. What a beautiful and bright shiny day! Trying my best to put my self-esteem as high as today's sun and let my patience brights till late afternoon.

Boss just came back from Limbang-Miri-Kapit-Sibu trip and we had gone through a very intense Monday. Yelling and chuckling taking places but it never fade our quality of work. Tomorrow he had to sit for 3 meetings but was wisely delegated to another junior officer. Same goes to Wednesday. He's leaving the office again on Thursday and Friday for a meeting in KL. Boss, when I calculate the frequency of your flying, it's as frequent as you're taking a ride on a bus. Wow. I'm impressed.

Gabby had her Bahasa Malaysia tuition today. She looked exhausted and sleepy. I'm OK with the weather today and thanks to Boss who kept me busy till the final dot at 5:00 p.m. No cooking for tonite as my nephew, Fitz is celebrating his 16th birthday tonight and everyone will be there.

Speaking of eating, it has come to my third week, cutting down my rice. I receive many compliments but still not satisfied yet. I don't wanna give up so early. Some says my face is getting smaller and so did my chest area, please don't tell me that my b**bs are sagging! Haha.

I don't want to measure - but I know that my bra is ain't that tight anymore. So do my skirts, oh yes, I worn my tight grey skirt last Sunday and it fitted me nicely. The most worrisome parts?? My arms and calves are 'melting'. I need to tone them otherwise I look like a melting Snow Man. Whenever I look at them, they look both scary and I am now starting to have that itchiness with bubbles (little bubbles).

Is that telling me that my fat is broken and I am downsizing slowly?

Dear God, please help me. +_+

I DON'T BELIEVE YOU.....

For not cleaning your a** for two days.

If it was me, I would have gone scratching my a** the whole two days.

By the way, didn't he go passing motion in two days? Your intestine must be very big. What a bowel!!

That's the most disgusting story about one's cleanliness so far being published and aired. Yuxx!!

I LOVE OLD SCHOOL CREAM SODA

When it comes to eating, I am not a very particular and choosy person. The awkward the place is, the more adventurous it would be for me. One of the places that I love to have my Kolok Mee is this place, located somewhere at Jalan Foochow, a secluded area that is quite near to my house. It looks more like a wooden shack for me. Very traditional and ‘kampung’ style. Can you see the cutlery placed on the table? Ah, you can just simply pick them and don’t worry, they are clean and you can find chill sauce, soy sauce, white pepper, toothpick, tissue etc. So convenient for a particular person like me.

To my liking, I love to mix my noodle with soy sauce, dollop of chilli sauce and hefty amount of white pepper so my Kolok Mee will have the reddish yet blackish color like Kampua Kicap. Yummy. You might think it weird but please do believe me and give a shot.

It is incomplete to eat without drinking so to enhance the atmosphere, I choose to drink this.

Very classic!! Nowadays, it is very rare to see such bottles around. Oh, this is my favourite flavour, Cream Soda. It’s cheap and taste really good.

This place is open from Monday to Saturday at 6:00 p.m. onwards. Don’t worry, the place itself very clean and tidy. I eat here at least once a week and so far, survive from food poisoning.

MOTHERLY MESSAGE FROM ME ON MOTHER'S DAY

Very chocolaty Mother's Day chocolate cake bought by hubby. Love it, love it! Normally, we will have a very hefty lunch, yum yum and I will do the cooking and such. This year, we had Mother's Day brunch. Very heavy one, so that's it very simple yet memorable one.

This is my mother. I call her 'Mak'. Hehe. Mak is the bestest mommy cum bestie you can find in the world. See how simple she is? How smaller in size she is? A contrast version of me. Ngiahaha. But I know, I'm funny like her, right Mak? *wink*

My mother was born 50 years ago in Lundu. She's the 3rd child of 5 siblings and has the ability to sew princessy dress, baking deliciously, making handicraft like basket, mat, fishing net etc, you just name it. What I love about her - her preseverance in doing tactical and intense job. She always reminded us in the past, if you feel like you can't do anything (job, duty etc) , just do it slowly as you will complete it eventually, eventhough it slow, it will finish, just take your time.

Mak is dancing Poco Poco at church. You go Mak!

See? From where did I inherit my artistic element that runs in my blood? Mak contributed some of it, I guess. Mak, I wanna thank you for what I am today. I know I was so naughty and I did make you cry in the past but I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I am a mother myself now, I will mould my kid just like you did to us.

On this day, I pray to God, to grant you health Mak. Since Apai gone, you're the only person that we really rely on still. We love you Mak, for what you are, for being our mother and our friend.

Happy Mother's Day!

Then I wrote your name on my heart & I got Heart

HUSBAND:
God saw me hungry, he created pizza.
He saw me thirsty, he created Pepsi.
He saw me in dark, he created light.
He saw me without problems, he created YOU.

WIFE:
Twinkle twinkle little star
You should know what you are
And once you know what you are
Mental hospital is not so far.

HUSBAND:
The rain makes all things beautiful.
The grass and flowers too.
If rain makes all things beautiful
Why doesn't it rain on you?

WIFE:
Roses are red; Violets are blue
Monkeys like u should be kept in zoo.
Don't feel so angry you will find me there too
Not in cage but laughing at you

ETIQA TAKAFUL ROADSHOW @ KUCHING WATERFRONT

Salam 1 Malaysia!!

Hehe, I'm back with another event stories. Last week we had another busking performance at Kuching Waterfront and this time it was for Etiqa-Takaful. We were requested to perform for two days together with Karen and Errol. Day one was OK, fun and everyone seemed entertained even us the performers we loved the crowd and so did the crowd to us. Very chilling, Kuching peeps rock!

Uncle Banana the clown made these balloons for Karen and me. *so childish* Haha. Hey, he twisted balloons for everyone and I popped one of them when I was trying to twist [showing off my skills] haha. lol

This is Khairul withUncle Banana the clown. Free ice creams for everyone even though it was raining heavily, the ice creams were down too. Brrrr!! Oh yes, not only ice creams, the crowd may get free henna tattoo, balloons and also magic performance by three young magicians, Harvill, Iki and Edarius.

2nd day of busking. It was raining, heavily!! The day was so gloomy and wet and as you can see here we were waiting for the rain to stop. Thanks to James Brooke Bistro for letting us chilling the place and we also performed there at the table. Free show!

I love this pic. Iki, Khairul and I pose in the drizzling rain but still we look so happy and glowing [with face oil], ain't us? Look at Iki's hair, ahaha..! Yes, we still continued the show despite the unwelcoming weather.

OK Iki, stop goofing around. It's time to do some magic tricks. This guy I tell you, he's very hyperactive and has a very warm personality, you're gonna love him if you meet him straight away!

The performance was actually delayed from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. prior to the heavy downpour but it never stopped us to give the best. To Kuching people who watched our performance that day, we thank you guys for being so supportive!
