FAREWELL MY LITTLE SAM, OUR BELOVED SAM

We have been babysitting him since he's 11 months old. He's a very active and also so adorable in so many ways. His name is Sam. He's our love. Sam is actually the only son of our friend. What I could say about him that, he is a very obedient, responsible and easy to take care of.

The reason that I'm making this entry - today is the last day Sam coming to our house. He's going back to Miri next week, for good. Words can't define how hurt I am while writing this but I must be strong as strong as Sam.

Sam, will you always remember your Aki, Inek, Tatak Bibi, Dedek, Baby Atong, Uncle Muk and Aunty Pat? I hope that we always have a special place deep down inside your heart,...

Don't forget the sweetest moments that you spent everyday with us, helping Aki to sweep the floor, feeding the crayfish, watching cartoon with Atong, oh yes, knocking my bedroom's door if I'm taking leave. I know Bujang the van vendor would misses you too since you love to grab some sweets from the van and share it with Tatak and Dedek.

Sam, do you still remember Inek used to bath you in the sink and we played the shampoo bubbles till you cry because you still insisted to play in the bubbly water?

Sam, please don't forget us. If you feel like talking to us, please ask Daddy to dial our numbers. We've never thought that you are gonna leave us so soon. Aunty will always pray for your happiness, Sam. Be a good boy to your daddy, Popo and Ah Kong, promise to aunty will you?

Sayonara my little love, we always love you. We have loved you since the first time we saw you at Pizza Junction 3 years ago. *sob sob*

WORLD HEALTH DAY @ KUCHING WATERFRONT

Hola people!

Wow. It's been like ages I don't rock this blog. Dear blog, I miss you too but since I'm so busy, my brain can't provide creativity that much for this blog so now I'm back. +_+

On 11th April, I was performing, it is more to a 'come back to the scene' after hibernating for more than 3 years. Wow. (How many times do I have to repeat the Wow, haha). The function was for the WORLD HEALTH DAY with the theme, 1000 cities, 1000 lives. Wow again.

Performance by BB-Boyz

The function started as early as at 7:00 a.m. with mass 'Senamrobik' and the launching of 'Jom Kayuh' (bicycle team) by Datuk Amar Abang Johari Bin Tun Abang Openg. This event was divided into few zones and our busking/acoustic team was performing at Zone B. I'm very proud to perform with my best friends like Max, Karen, Errol, Nat, Sam and other rocking band members like Polar, Guru, Nice Stupid Playground, ZDNeosaber etc, etc. We arrived before 7 a.m. since the road along Jalan Tunku Abd. Rahman was going to be closed before 8 a.m. Had our breakfast at Greenhill Corner, oh how I miss this place but sadly speaking, we picked a wrong table. The stinky drain really killed our appetite that morning.

My noobs buddies. These are young magicians from Kuching. From left, Iki, Darius and Harvill.

I wonder where have my nervousness gone? Normally, I would shake myself on the stage, prior to my nervousness but this time, I really enjoyed my performance maybe because I have tons of fans shouting for me down there. Not fans, they are my colleagues and friends if you wanna know.

Battle of the drums. From left, Sam, hubby, Polar's drummer, Edwin and Nat.

Songs selection were made by Max. Since my turn to perform started at 12 noon and the place was started to pack with people, we chose the killer songs like Dia, Sinaran and Bitterheart to be rendered first. Then we rest for a while. The next session, I sang Kiss Me, There She Goes and Hebat. The show was managed by Mork, Odie and Raykana. Bravo guys!

We left the venue at 3:30 p.m. when we realized that we haven't had our lunch yet so we stopped by Tracy's Kitchen to have my favorite, Porky Leg Stew. Yummeh! Anyway, I really enjoyed the day and looking forward to a bigger celebration next year, can we Mork?

Gob gob! Don't ask who she is. Hahaha..

SKIPPING RICE!

Today is my 8th day of rice skipping trial.  It's not that I totally skip rice but just trying to avoid it as much as possible.  As far as I remembered, I had only 3 plates of rice, one at home, one at my Mom's place (hey, who can resist Mom's cooking anyway, haha) and we had Chicken Rice on Saturday.  The rest of the days, my carbs came from noodles, potatoes and bread.

Look at what I had for lunch today.  'Umbut kelapa' masak lemak with 'Ayam Masak Kicap' & 'Ayam Masak Sos'.  (Translation: Chicken in Soy Sauce and Chicken in Chilli Sauce).  Nyam nyam!

The aftermath.  I finished everything for less than 5 minutes.  3 minutes perhaps.  I don't know how long will I do this but so far, I've been doing it so good but sometimes, I will run out of idea of what I'm gonna eat later in the end of the day.

The verdict:

  1. My menses flow longer than usual which is good.  Normally, I will experience it like only in 2 or 3 days.  This time I'm still having it, now it's coming to my 5th day.  Yay!!
  2. I don't feel bloated or sleepy after lunch time which means I'm more productive.  Yayy!!
  3. I feel lighter and my skirts and blouses also seems to loose and yayyyy!!!!

No.  Don't ask me how much I have lost.  I'm still in a very premature stage. +_+  Support me, will you guys?

PLUMP AND SKINNY GIRLS : READ THIS AND HAVE FUN

Recently, in a large city in Australia , a poster featuring a young, thin and tan woman appeared in the window of a gym.  It said, "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"

A middle-aged woman, whose physical characteristics did not match those of the woman on the poster, responded publicly to the question posed by the gym.

To Whom It May Concern,

Whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, sea lions, curious humans.) They have an active sex life, get pregnant and have adorable baby whales. They have a wonderful time with dolphins stuffing themselves with shrimp. They play and swim in the seas, seeing wonderful places like Patagonia, the Bering Sea and the coral reefs of Polynesia .

Whales are wonderful singers and have even recorded CDs. They are incredible creatures and virtually have no predators other than humans. They are loved, protected and admired by almost everyone in the world.

Mermaids don't exist.

If they did exist, they would be lining up outside the offices of Argentinean psychoanalysts due to identity crisis. Fish or human?

They don't have a sex life because they kill men who get close to them, not to mention how could they have sex? Just look at them ... where is IT? Therefore, they don't have kids either.

Not to mention, who wants to get close to a girl who smells like a fish store?

The choice is perfectly clear to me: I want to be a whale.

P.S. We are in an age when media puts into our heads the idea that only skinny people are beautiful, but I prefer to enjoy an ice cream with my kids, a good dinner with a man who makes me shiver, and a piece of chocolate with my friends.

With time, we gain weight because we accumulate so much information and wisdom in our heads that when there is no more room, it distributes out to the rest of our bodies. So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy!!!

Beginning today, when I look at my butt in the mirror I will think, ¨Good grief, look how smart I am!¨

It doesn't matter whether you are big or small in size.  Most importantly you eat and live healthily and don't feel upset with your look.  So live and enjoy your life while you can!

NOT SO SHOCKING FINDING - McD SAUCES INSIDE MY OFFICE DRAWER

Geez,

I'd love to put it in my blog.  I mean, can you see my packets of chilli sauce kept in the drawer?  They come in handy when I order fried chicken from the canteen or while having Maggi's Assam Laksa.  The Barbeque sauce is consumed during special occasion and food.  Haha.  What a collection I have.

Whenever I place an order, I will ask for extra sauce.  Love them.  Can't imagine how many times McD delivers their burgers for me in a year.  Wewwww!

LIFE MUST GO ON AND I SURVIVE MY 'COME BACK'.

Woots!

Another busy week for Miss Coki.  My creativity and my brain seem to jam lately.  I dunno how to blog anymore-kah? Haha.. touch wood.... touch wood.... :p

First, works are works so I leave it on my desk, left untold. +_+   OK.  I'll be singing again, shaking, not rocking the stage at Etiqa's Roadtour this Friday and Saturday.  So to my fans (do I have any? ahahahahaha..) you can come over to Waterfront, next to James Brooke Cafe to see me performing live.

I'm booked for next month too, but it isn't confirmed yet.  But then, I found out that I'm taken out of  from the performer list.  It's OK.  Everyone has their own day maybe it's fated for others.  Think positively!  Yay!!

d plan was to hold a nite tribute to Kuching's famous local band which song has gone internationally.  Go and find the band itself.  *chuckle*.  Damn.  Now I am chopped as a Jazz singer, huhu what to do.  Hey, I've never thought that I can sing jazz when I tried to render some of the songs that my hubby improvises or jazzes them up.  OK, so-so.. you tell. Haha.

I dunno I'm gonna sing until when, but I know one day till I get senile I still feel that I am a Diva.  Haha!

A SNAPSHOT FROM MY BEDROOM OFFICE TABLE

Ola girls and boys, I took this picture after taking bath few weeks ago.  A glimpse taken from my bedroom office table, it is a very old table.  Hubby used this table when he was in secondary school.  I conquer this place every night before heading to the bed only after 2 a.m.

Do you love my netbook sticker?  Hehe...

AKADEMI FANTASIA 8 SIGHTING! @ EVERRISE BDC

No. They didn't come to Kuching. It was something that I saw whilst waiting for hubby in the car the other day. Hubby went shopping for some tomatoes for our burgers.

Then, I saw AF8 poster !! They even put the 'TERKELUAR' (VOTED OUT) sticker on Shah!!!

I wonder why Akademi Fantasia 8 this year is so cold, don't you think so? I even hardly listening to my colleagues chirping about this reality TV show lately. The only question that they would ask each other, "Who was voted out last night?". Hehe.

So far, the bags had been given to Shah, Ema, Anum and Aliff.  I'm looking forward to see Sarawakian Daus and Farina in the finals.

UPCOMING HAPPENING!!

SIL said that I look cute in this picture poster?  I just look normal and very chubby here. I like!!  Hahaha.  OK. What is this picture all about?    Let us check another poster so please scroll down will you?

Cities are invited to open a portion of their streets to people and close them to motor vehicles, offering citizens a novel public space for physical exercise, meeting family, friends and community, health checks, eating healthy local food or visiting local attractions.  These open-street initiatives, growing in popularity around the world, can measurably reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, boost small business and offer citizens an opportunity for physical activity and a mental health break. The aim is to offer a range of activities for all citizens to enjoy together, no matter their age, gender, culture or income bracket. Many cities already have open-streets (or “car-free”) programmes. The goal is to engage more than 1000 cities to participate, with 11 April being an ideal target date 1 day.  So besides all the 'Senam Tari', Massive Exercise, Health Screening, our zone (Zone 2) caters:

  • Performing Arts / Dance / Food /Streets

  • Performance from Local music band, Dancers ,Busking

  • Foods (varieties of food stalls will cater delicious food!)

  • Performing bands = | Polar | Guru | ZDneosaber | Akur | Loves Comes Crashing | Ready Steady Go | and many more.....!! ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫

  • special appearance busking appearance busking : ♪ ♫  Karen Eva &  ♪ ♫ Patricia (That's me!!!) .. with musicians. sape performance by Ms. Emma Raja.

  • Special dance troupe appearance "Soulz Crew Dancers" and plus Street Magicians.  Yes, we are gonna have Street Magicians and Musicians at the same time.  CooL isn't it?
So Kuchingites, don't forget to catch us and support this event.  For those who are still figuring what busking is, Busking is the practice of performing in public places for tips and gratuities.  Don't worry, I don't plunder money from public but if you feel that I might sound sweet, just give me some chocolates.  Haha!  Bring along the whole family members and gather at the Waterfront because I can promise that you will be entertained, not by us but by visiting flea markets, food stall, street magicians and many many more!

Circa 1983, the Sclerosis-like super skinny kiddo on the left is yours truly, Miss Coki.

Frankly speaking, I am so damn freaking tension and nervous right now.  I've been disappearing from the scene quite a while, let say 6 years? Hahaha.. hopefully I don't sound like Miss Froggina.  Brrrookkk brookkk... Haha!

MEE PRESIDEN (PRESIDEN INSTANT NOODLES) ROCKS!

I love instant noodles and who doesn't right?  DUH.  Might not an avid eater but keeping and topping up the stocks is a must at our house.  Found these two pictures which were taken few days ago so I thought to put up here, why not?

This is the way I like it.  Two packets of boiled noodles (a packet is way too small in portion for a big size eater like me, ahaks!) and complimented with poached egg.  One is adequate.

Closed up, more light.  Sorry for the broken yolks for I was rushing to watch 'Chef at Home', I love eating noodles with a cup of black coffee while watching my favourite programme on TV.  Hey, what's your favourite noodles then?  Share the story with me, will you?

p/s:  Condolences to the family of the late Din Beramboi.  I am his biggest fan so today was kinda sad day for radio ERA listeners especially to those who follow the 'RIUH PAGI DI ERA'.  Rest in peace Mr. Joker!  You're always in our hearts.
