THE 90'S HITS : REMINISCING MY COLLEGE YEARS, THE BEST YEARS IN MY LIFE

I was sitting at Hijau waiting for customers when this idea came and hit my head.  There were some 'Dangdut' and 'Keroncong' numbers being aired at the moment.  When I looked around, I saw young college kids sipping beers and having great time.  Oh how I envy them!

Then I remembered my college years and songs that we adored.  Doesn't matter whatever the beat or melody is, we had the tendency to record all nice songs in unused cassettes.  Hahaha!!  Yes, cassettes dear. :p Lame ain't it.  OK.  Cut time to cut the craps.  Let me list down the songs that were hits and not forgetting including those so-called one hit wonders.  I have summarized and finally came with these 5 selected hits.

Remember Chumbawamba's Tubthumping??? I get knocked down but I get up again, You're never going to keep me down!! Yay!  Jupiter goers, recall back, this is one of the club hits.

Will Smith's Gettin' Jiggy Wit It.  Na Na  Na Na Na Na Na !!  Also a hit in Jupiter.  Whenever they had this on, I will surely run to the dance floor.

The Wonders - That Thing You Do.  OMG!  Whenever we heard the first drum beats, everyone went crazy and screaming and started to dance!  We were so in love with this song and the movie too.

I'll Be Missing You - Puff Daddy and Faith Evans.  A confession to make.  I was able to memorize this song in 1997.  Shoot!  I can rap don't ya bet!

Pearl Jam - Last Kiss.  Eddie Vadder's mellow melancholic rendition of this one really drives us crazy.  A very sad song about an accident and the girl dies.  Before she dies, her beau gives her one last kiss.  Oh where oh where can my baby be, the Lord took her away from me... She goes to heaven and I've gotta be good, so I can see my baby when I leave this world.  *snifff* Tissue please!!

Last but not least, the best number of all taken from the OST of Armageddon.

It's none other than Aerosmith - I DON'T WANT TO MISS A THING!!!!  Oh, this song was played like a kazillion times during 1998 UiTM's carnival.

Nah!  There you are.  Actually there are more good and popular songs during that era but those five are rated the best in my list.  Another additional information, all those songs are available in my MP3 player and handphone too.  Sorry, I don't keep many new songs like others, these are my jewels and I always cherish them as college years are the best years in my life like what I've mentioned in the entry.

OH OH! FACEBOOK CAUSES OF MARITAL BREAKDOWNS? I.E DIVORCES, SEPARATIONS ETC.

Oh boy, what a finding that I found few months ago which I'd like to share here.  Everyone in the family nowadays owns a Facebook account and so do to the three of us - Papa, Mama & Gabby.   Yes, my 9 years old daughter is Facebooking too eventhough that she's on a passive mode because I monitor her all the times and she has promised to cut down her online activity.  We love Facebook because it connects old friends and allows users to make new ones online.  Don't you agree with that?

Do you know that now, Facebook is being blamed for an increasing number of marital breakdowns?  According to the articles, divorce lawyers claim the explosion in the popularity of websites such as Facebook and Bebo is tempting to people to cheat on their partners.

Suspicious spouses have also used the websites to find evidence of flirting and even affairs which have led to divorce.  One law firm, which specialises in divorce, claimed almost one in five petitions they processed cited Facebook.  I know this one person in my life who has a jealousy wife.  He had to close down his FB account when his wife can't accept his friendliness - joking and teasing other female colleagues in Facebook.  Sorry dude!  Your wife sucks!  haha...

According to Mark Keenan, Managing Director of Divorce-Online said: "I had heard from my staff that there were a lot of people saying they had found out things about their partners on Facebook and I decided to see how prevalent it was I was really surprised to see 20 per cent of all the petitions containing references to Facebook.  "The most common reason seemed to be people having inappropriate sexual chats with people they were not supposed to."

  • Flirty emails and messages found on Facebook pages are increasingly being cited as evidence of unreasonable behaviour.
  • Computer firms have even cashed in by developing software allowing suspicious spouses to electronically spy on someone's online activities.
  • One 35-year-old woman even discovered her husband was divorcing her via Facebook.
  • Conference organiser Emma Brady was distraught to read that her marriage was over when he updated his status on the site to read: "Neil Brady has ended his marriage to Emma Brady."
  • Last year a 28-year-old woman ended her marriage after discovering her husband had been having a virtual affair with someone in cyberspace he had never met.
  • Amy Taylor 28, split from David Pollard after discovering he was sleeping with an escort in the game Second Life, a virtual world where people reinvent themselves.

Phewww!  I guess this problem doesn't seriously occur in Malaysia and please say NO to it, I mean doing silly things that can cause innuendo in your marriage.  Facebooking wisely readers.

DON'T TRUST FAKE BEGGARS!

I've got these pictures from my friend via email.  Taken somewhere in China showing how desperately people are nowadays plunging for money.  So let us scroll down the pictures together.

A lady with a man lying on her lap, the man looks very very ill and dying.  See the young man tipping money?  It's showtime!

OK.  The gig is off now.  Time to leave the place and unleash the drama king and queen.  Oh, don't forget to calculate the catch for the day.

La la la.... left right left right.... I wonder where they are heading to?

Oh, it's lunchtime.  "Towkay!  Two bowls of noodles!  Dry one!!" .  Thanks to all good Samaritans who have contributed before so these two rascals don't have to work hard like dogs, like us.  Well readers, life goes on!

AN EARLY MORNING MEE JAWA EXPERIENCE @ LAI FORNIA CAFE, PADUNGAN

Holler peeps!

On Monday, Mr. Hubby and I were craving for something different.  We wanted to try this cafe by the name of  LAI FORNIA CAFE, located at Padungan.  Do you know City Inn? It's located just next door to City Inn.

This particular cafe serves halal food and the menu for that morning was - Roti Canai, Mee Kolok, Mee Goreng and Mee Jawa.  Mee Jawa?????!!! Yes, that's one of my favourites.  Mee Jawa, I heart you.  *love*.

Nah.  Look at my Mee Jawa.  Scrumptious and inviting.  RM3.00 and you will get this descent plate.  Slurrpss!

I'm addicted to caffeine so my morning would be dull without caffeine. *Checking yellow teeth* Haha.

Teeheehee.. This 'Abang Roti Canai'.  Did he have to be so seriously on one lovely Monday morning?

OK.  Do visit Lai Fornia Cafe (I read it first as California Cafe, woohoo!) and try their nice Mee Jawa.  The gravy? Aaaahh.. heavenly thick.

MY 32nd BIRTHDAY, THIS TIME WITH MY BUSKING TEAM. YAY!

Holler readers!

Oh yes, I went for my busking practice as usual on Thursday night.  We sang, we laughed, we had a jolly good time until came the knocking at the door.  When Mork opened the door, Karen and Eroll came with big grins on their faces and a box of cake.  Karen kissed me on my cheek and wished me happy birthday. OK. That's it.  Thanks girl.

My birthday cake.  Can you guys see the cute Shin Chan hiding behind those candles? Don't count the candles, I said don't.  OK readers.  Miss Coki is hitting her 32nd birthday.  I don't look 32, do I? Haha.
OK.  All the busking members chipped in to get me something that they hope, they hope that it would fit me.  I thought it was a bra.  Haha!!  Or a G-String just by looking at the small box.  I shook the box yes, I knew there was something interesting in.

See???  My puzzling face?  My Humpty dumpty face.  Rawwwrrr.. I can't wait to see.

Tadaaa!!  Thanks to Mork, Karen, Nath, Max, Emma you guys are awesome.  *blushed*  Thank you, so very much for the lovely watch, I love my gift as I love you guys. *hugs*

AKADEMI FANTASIA 8 : DISCRIMINATION OF SIZE, I RECKON

I don't care if you disagree with me but I just can't help it to write it down here.  Malaysians have witnessed Shah AF8 left the building tonite.  It's not a big shocking thing.  Remember Aizat?  How about Bob?  Idayu anyone?  Those voices are awesomely good.  I still remember when Idayu sang, TIADA LAGI TANGISAN, it was far away, far, far away better than Ema of AF8.  Well, Malaysians generally are so typical.  Not all but some percentage had proven so.  Am not the biggest fan of Akademi Fantasia but as an avid follower, the flow of this programme is definitely predictable.  Trust me.

Last year's winner was Hafiz who is a Sarawakian.  Steady urang Serawak!  Akim, oh I love him so much, I mean his voice but he came in third and Aril .... not a fan of him, was second.  Aril, controversially voted in after being voted out so I wonder what is so special about him?  Because his brother is a not so popular singer turn TV presenter Izwan Pilus?  Because he's good looking and desperately cute?  He looks like a possessed goat in DRAG ME TO HELL, excuse me... because he can shuffle????? Please donk.  I saw him shuffling in AF and also in 'KAU DAN AKU' at Astro.  He looks damn funny. I mean he shuffles funnily.  I saw shuffling videos at YouTube but nothing like Aril's.  Whenever you watch the Brand's ads at TV you will see that he's the most focused celebrity, more than Hafiz and Akim.  The best part now??  He's replacing Jimmy Shanley in Trek Selebriti.  How about that??  I wonder how young girls out there including my daughter adore him.  It's their choice right?  But sorry for Aril from me.  Sorry I just can't.

HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT I'M NOT HANDSOME?  I CURSE YOU, I SUMMON DEMON LABIA TO CURSE YOU.... (Oh, Lady Labia Majora or Minora???? Hahhahahaa....)

AF8 this year gathers very good voices all over Malaysia.  Wow. I'm impressed so far, maybe most of the participants have equipped themselves with good preparation.  I hope, Malaysians out there who happen to read this blog.  Please make your bestest choice.  Bestest OK? Haha.  Seriously.  Judge for talent not the looks.  So far I am eyeing on Ain. There's something about this girl and needs to be dug out.

This has given a deep impact to my self-esteem.  FYI, next April precisely on 11th, I will be joining other friends busking at the Waterfront in conjunction with the World Health Day.  Thousands of people are expected to come.  Like other big size singers like Bob, Adibah Noor, Dina...... do you think they will laugh once they see this big size singer with that little microphone?

Pasti berjaya di Akademi Fantasiaaaa!!!!!!!!

p/s:  Just read my friend, Budiey's blog and found out that Yanie Mentor passed away today.  She's a very talented singer with very good husky voice.  God loves her more than us do.  I hope her family is doing good and condolence from us.  Rest in peace beautiful voice.  We will miss you.

IT'S SATURDAY AND WE NEED A SABBATICAL LAUGH!

An old nun who was living in a convent next to a construction site noticed the coarse language of the workers and decided to spend some time with them to correct their ways.

She decided she would take her lunch, sit with the workers and talk with them.  She put her sandwich in a brown bag and walked over to the spot where the men were eating.

She walked up to the group and with a big smile said: "and do you men know Jesus Christ?"  They shook their heads and looked at each other very confused.  One of the workers looked up into the steelworks and yelled out,

"Anybody up there know Jesus Christ?"

One of the steelworkers yelled down

'why'?

The worker yelled back,

"Cos his wife's here with his lunch"

How about that?? :p

SPECIAL LEAVE TAKEN FOR NO REASON AT ALL

Go, go, go, go

Go, go, go shawty
It's your birthday
We gon' party like it's yo birthday
We gon' sip Bacardi like it's your birthday
And you know we don't give a f**k
It's not your birthday!

p/s:  Yo 50 Cents, thanks bro for the song, haha!!

No reason?  Surely I do have.  I promised Gabby to stay at home during my ehem, birthday today.  This big lady is turning to 32 today, yayyy!  Quite awkward as daddy always ring me on my birthday morning.  Now, I have to learn the fact that he's no longer with us and life has to move on.

My birthday morning started with - no no no, I haven't brushed my teeth yet washed my face but rushed to open my Facebook at 9:00 a.m.  Thanks to friends and family members who sent their wishes and loves to me. You guys rock my day!!

Any celebration?  Nope. Not into one because I didn't want to.  My head, my heart, my soul is missing for dad.  It has been 5 months but I still can hear his voice especially the way he laughed.  May God bless his soul.  Oh yes, my activity for today was cooking!  For lunch of course and glad to see my girl and her cousin enjoyed their lunch very much.  You guys are good girls today.

Not my cake but it does look tempting, doesn't it?

Had a blast in the room after lunch.  Yup.  Hubby and I went for an earlier practice for busking.  We supposed to go for the actual practice tonight.  OMG.  I was lost from the scene for more than 4 years and to be frank, I am so freaking nervous whenever I think about singing in public.

Being a secretary, mother, burger lady and now a singer, what else haven't I done within these 32 years of life?  Life's so far, so good, I just follow the flow.  I'm cool.

AHH... WHAT A HOTTIE WEEKEND! AND SOME BIYATCH PICTURES FOR FUN

Woke up at 9:00 a.m. and went to pee.  Open the tap water - yellowwww????!!!! Eew eew eew! So dirty one!  Aiyoh.  How-leh?  OK. Cool down.  Ran back to my bedroom and played Red Alert.  Ahaks.  Ol'skool game.  Half an hour later.  Tummy uncomfortable.  Urged to fa** feeling. Haha!  I ran back to the bathroom with towel and did my business - nature call what to do mah.  Then took toothbrush, second time tap water checking.  Clearer. Good.

It is always like this, when it's hitting the hot season.  Dirty water tap (not everyday), hot sunny weather, ice-cream craving (wtf!).  In a few days time, I'm gonna make another hit, hitting number 32.  Yes, I'll be 32 on this Thursday.  Phewww.. how time flies yeah.  School holidays so Gabby is so in the mood, yeah, she called me this morning asking for my permission to surf the internet.  I said NO unless she had brushed her teeth or washed her face at least.

This lady.  Let me tell you a story why do I paste her picture here.  I am a regular customer at this particular cafe so to cut the story short, one day, when I got out from our car, she started to stumble, looking at me and  then................ she shook her head in disbelief and making that 'chit chit chit' sound then went chuckling.  The climax was whispering to a nearby patron to look at me and laughed together.  Me!   F C U K . Y O U!!  What do I look like, an alien to you????? KAU CANTIK SANGAT KE???? (sabar kak, sabarrr..haha) Do you think that you're so perfectly made by God that you can simply laugh at me as if I'm handicapped or retarded? Owh... before sitting down gracefully, I took the golden chance to say 'Chib**', MACAM TIDAK PERNAH TENGOK  ORANG, MACAM PEREMPUAN SAKAI BARU KELUAR RUMAH" - ohh puas hatiku! - as loud as I could, I   assumed that they could hear me that's why the laughter went silent and dead on the spot.  Thanks to my handphone.  At least I have something to blog about, right Nuffies? Ahaks!

Hellow.. at least I go to the office and receive fat check every month rather than what she does everyday.  I am the one who should shake my head and make that 'chit chit chit' sound for sympathizing your life.  Boohoo.

*Adjusting hair, reapply lipstick*  OK People.  Time to get back to work.  I'm done enough. :p

I CAUGHT A MONKEY CLIMBING ON A TREE AND GONE MAD

LoL.  This is my lunch time activity.  Munching and watching YouTube at the same time.  Thanks to broadband and boohoo! to office's internet connection.  You suck since the day you blocked the YouTube, downloading and such.  I was watching 'Ku Tunggu Jandamu' for my 3rd time, love this movie and Dewi Persik too.  God, she's so erotically sexy!!

On the way home, I stopped by to see Gabby who was holding two cans of Soy Bean milk by the roadside. I was wondering too why she was looking at the tree?  To my attention, I saw ....

Easter on the tree!!  OMG.  OMG.  I yelled at her and threatened to capture her pic and pass it to her mother.  FYI, she was born in the year of Monkey.  OK, that should tell....

Oh yes, this is one cool pic.  See her frightened face.  She was so afraid with me at this time.  Point to note, I'm very strict with  the kiddos.  Especially with the naughty ones.   No wonder kids are always afraid to see me, haha.  Not because of my size, OK?  But my fearful face.  Haha.
