MISS COKI GOES RANDOM - PART 1

Hola muchachas! Bueno? Missing me anot?

This week, pheeww!! I'm very attached to my work, yet my social life. Sounds sober eh? Ok. Ok. I have to admit it, since this bloody H1N1 encountered globally, it has limitised our weekly outings. I admit too it is not easy to maintain calm at home during the weekends especially when living by our area, surrounded by malls and good eateries. Damn, must it be always connected with food? *LOL*

My fav, ice blended MOcha with fattening cream, so creamily crazy!

Last Tuesday, the band met up at the Bing, BDC outlet. Oh sorry, Mae and Syrile didn't come as the meeting supposed to be between Miss Loli and Miss Coki but at the end, Mr. Kingkong, Mork and Max appeared. No worries, the more the merrier right? Right...... A few hours before that, I invited my red-carpet rival, John to join us. John arrived 20 minutes after our arrivals. The best part when he greeted me was that I didn't see him coming from behind. So he said to me, "Ko sik nangga ku melimpas red carpet tek?" OMG. I replied by saying I was so sorry for not noticing the camera flashes behind me - we're joking.

Please meet the funny John and wacky Naomi or Yomi - OMG. She looks like my bro's ex-bro, Angela. Please don't marah me arr Rod...haahaha.. oh ya, Jacy was taking this pic. Thanks to Jacy and Naomi, it was great to meet up you guys eventho it was a short Hi and then Goodbye. Maybe next time we can go Bing-ing together!! *wink wink*

Back to the office, the girls band is getting bigger and the bondage is getting tightened day by day. NYiehhehehe.. As a P.A. one might see me not going out for drinks frequently but it doesn't mean that I'm isolated from the gang, common thing for us to be on standby and always be there for Mr. Boss.

I normally have drinks on my table, but when the bosses are away, I'll be joining my sisters (Sisters of Desktop) Hahahaha... and we normally will go hoo hoo and haa haa in the pantry.

Sometimes, we discuss about our works delegation then followed by cups of coffee /Milo/ tea. No doubt that sometimes, we can be playful in the office but when it comes to work, we definitely will go serious. Of course, with the supervision and guidance from the senior officers like here, please meet one of them, tadaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Motherly love. She's a Sister, a higher ranking nurse - see the reason why we're all so 'healthy' in the office here. *LOL* Ignore my piggy pouty forced face here. I tried my best striking with smiling pose but end up like a FUGU - Ikan buntal - a BLOW FISH. *GOB*

MISS GABRIELLA ON THE RUNWAY!

Yes, now I reveal the story of Miss Gabriella on her 2nd runaway after the first Kumang Gawai Contest in her school 2 years ago.

As what we both agreed, I mean between Mr. Kingkong and I, we wanted to dress her like Nicky Hilton. Just to think outside the box. Normally girls will be dressed as Barbie, Hannah Montana and wearing frills, laces and tutu, it's normal.

She learned how to do the catwalk by watching YouTube and TV, plus more that she is very confident with herself.

That's a striking one Gabby!

She didn't win but you know that being so sporting is something that she's good at. She met new friends, got free Chicky Meal and free jigsaw puzzle game.

The best thing ever happened twice! First, I met Mama Belian & Cengal at Maybank ATM and secondly, can you see the sweet tiny girl with cowboy hat standing in front of Gabby? That's Cheryl Cengal!

Mama, you do have a very beautiful growing up girl. Don't worry Mama, we can send the girls to do the catwalk next year, don't you agree with me?

5 MAKANAN PENYEBAB KANSER

Halo!

Baru je dapat email ni dari kawan, jadi saja-saja nak paparkan kat sini untuk dijadikan panduan.

The top five cancer-causing foods are:

1. Hot dogs
Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention
Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs
a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those
made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and bacon
Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs,
bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart
disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to
cancer.

3. Doughnuts
Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they
are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils,
then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, may be the worst
food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries
Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated
oils (Trans fat) and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain
cancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying
process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries .

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies
All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the
ones whose labels claim to be free of Trans-fats generally
contain small amounts of Trans-fats.

KFC COOLEST KID CONTEST - ONE STEP CLOSER TO BECOMING A LIL' DIVA

KFC COOLEST KID CONTEST was held at Wisma Saberkas on last Saturday, 25th July 2009. I'd like to thank Ida of Borneolove for the announcement in her blog. We managed to meet up at KFC Wisma Saberkas on Thursday. I knew that I didn't have time to go shopping on Friday, so after the registration we rushed to top up Gabby's collection. The concept for the contest was 'COOL' so I wanted to try something different and I picked Nicky Hilton as my guide.

Nicky Hilton. Isn't this style look cool to you? Hmmm... I have to be creative with my current collections.

Testing her stockings, sunshade and shoes. Ignore the nightgown. That 80's style tied up locks? Hmmm.. OK. Cool. Next, catwalk training.

This is her final look. 20 minutes before the contest started!

............... will be continued!

WHEN COKI WAS BORING...

Told you right, bout my boring weekend, being isolated at home? Luckily Zul called me up and we went out, after much bargaining, finally on Tuesday night. The meeting spot was Starbucks, The Spring.

I was late prior to the earlier heavy downpour, an hour like that. Poor Zul, when I arrived he was starving and we decided to have dinner at Kluang Station, next door.

Zul was really taking his sweet time to decide.......

We continued the gossiping and Facebook-ing till 10:45 p.m. Miss Coki needed a beauty sleep and a fresher body the next day for working. Talking about working, look at what Mr. Kingkong had for breakfast!

See, how big is the so-called plate???? Whoaaa!!!!

Heehehe... look at my monstrous looking fish. This is my Ikan Masak Balado (bercili). I cooked them last Sunday and best served with hot and steamy white rice. Very very spicy. Wanna try some?

WHEN COKI SPEAKS IN INDONESIA

First of all, you might find this story funny which it's supposed to be. Working as usual today, with giggling and morning gossiping when suddenly the office phone rang.

Me: Good morning, Dr. Raja's office....

Caller: Iya, tempat ini di mana ya????

Me: Kuching.

Caller: Oh ya, saya tau tapi siapa yah yang nelepon ke hp saya?

Me: (God, he's an Indonesian!!) Oh, kira-kira kapan ya? - My Bahasa Indonesia mode's switch was automatically ON.

Caller: Ini waktunya kemaren. 7:30 malam kemaren. Saya melihat ada panggilan tertinggal.

Me: Oh, kalo begitu maaf tiada orang di sini yang menelepon selepas jam 6:00. . Tersalah ketik kali.

Caller: Ini di mana iya?

Me: Ini kantor Kesehatan Kuching, di rumah sakit Kuching.

Caller: Maaf ya! Siapa yang bercakap?

Me: Saya Patricia. Maaf, mungkin ada karyawan kami yang tersalah ketik nomer hp anda.

Caller: Oh ya, nggak apa-apa.. maaf ya.... Makasih.

Me: Kembali.

OK. It was a usual wrong number or whatever it was; but the unexpected thing happened. 3 minutes later...... The phone rang again. And this time, the Indonesian guy again. ???

Caller: Halooooo........ (sounds cheeky) Ini yang namanya Patricia tadi yahhhh.....

Me: Iya, bercakap.

Caller: Kamu dari mana yah asalnya?

Me: Saya dari Kuching.

Caller: Oh, ini lagi di kantor yah? Apa bener kamu kerja di rumah sakit?

Me: Iyah.

Caller: Oh, kalo begitu apa bisa saya minta nomer hp kamu?

Me: Apa bisa saya tau yah, untuk apa?

Caller: Iyaaahh..inikan kantor; jadi nggak enak gitu, yalah.... (sounds cheekier!) hehhhe...

Me: Maaf ya, saya lagi repot sekarang ini, maaf. Saya perlu ke ruangan rapat sekarang. (Gila ini orang! Norak , norak tau nggak!!!)

Caller: Ditungguin nih... saya nunggu yah....

--- Tooottt..... ---- -end.

Siyal, koq pagi2 banget udah ditaksir ama Mas-Mas? Toh, langsung gue jadi inget sama temen deket YM gue yang namanya Gideon. Yah, elo kabarnya gimana Gid? Udah lama nggak nge-chat bareng. Pasti bocah kamu udah gede. Cieh.. terlanjur ngobrol Indo ini, gara-gara saking bikin promo Air Asia ke Jakarta kaleeeeeee!

Well, hope you guys understand the hell and craps I was talking about.... I let you translate by yourself. But I know my boss and my assistant did give me a very hard big laugh..... including Morky and Mr. Kingkong too. So spoilt-lah my day..... Bete!!!!!

CELCOM BROADBAND SAVED MY DAY

Monday came again with my moody-lack-of-sleep look. Who cares? My target was to get my things done before signing off. Worst scenario happened today, our server was down because the plugged was burnt. Ohhh my God.... What can be more worse than being disconnected and gone offline?

Started my day with foodie motivation, yes I had my breakfast at Planet Sambal with Nasi Lemak and Sambal Kerang. Don't envy me. LOL. Hubby came to save the day with his broadband. *I Love You* wink². Before lunch, I was like a junkie, felt damn sleepy but after the arrival of Celcom broadband, there you go, my eyes opened widely!

Oh yes, please forgive the biyatch that is really making me sick in the office who's ruining my friends' moods too. I'm glad that my desk was clean and sparkling when I punched out at 5:45 p.m. What's for dinner? Hubby requested for Ayam Penyet but must be cooked by these two hands. OK. Responsibility as a wife. Look at what we had for dinner tonight. Again. Don't envy me my dear friends.

Tadaaaa!!!! Took me for 1 and 1/2 hour to prepare this dish. Superwoman me!

I just boiled the ladies fingers @ Okra and cabbage in the microwave;

.... while cooking the rice, chicken and the sambal! - Oh don't laugh at my sambal, I thought I was failed making it but the taste was similar to the one at Family Cafe's Satok !! Amazing!.. but less chillies of course, only Miss Coki can take chillies like candies.

Care to share a plate with me?

HAZY WEEKEND

Damn, the haze is in town this week so meaning to say the fun outing is out of our list this weekend. I faced the PC from morning till night and I could tell, my weekend was lame. Oh yes, for sure I did cook too.

Bought this grilling pan few months ago at Boulevard and it was sold at RM39++. This is family's favourite grilled meat best served with hot soy sauce and fragrant rice.

We went to this breakfast place, located just next to Hotel Kapit at Padungan. Hubby's favourite is meat porridge. It's served with minced meat and an egg. Some splashes of light soy sauce and dashes of white pepper would complete this meal.

I need speed to eat, so I opted for Kolok Mee. A very impatience eater me. :D Here at this kopitiam, the Kolok Mee is smaller in portion so I'm OK with it.

Ahhh.. favourite beverage, taken cold the cold morning? We are weird, aren't we?

I wonder what to have for breakie tomorrow...

A BZ WEDNESDAY

Dang!

Today I've got carried away with my works, started with a meeting this morning. Nope. Not the meeting, the last minute printed meeting minutes which landed on boss' desk 20 minutes before the real meeting started, just enough for him to flip thru. Then from 9:05 a.m. we had bla.bla..bla.. and so on until 11:45 a.m.

The bloody blackout took all the lunch time happiness and I had my Nasi Ayam Penyet in the dark, how romantic!

I felt sense of losses, is that the correct sentence to portray my feeling today? Indeed! I forgot to login to my Yahoo Messenger. Sorry guys, didn't purposely do that, I had piles of stuff to do awaiting on the desk and can't help to steal sweet time to say Hi to y'all.

Diggin' up my folders in the PC, I found these two pictures below. Hell yeah! I will never forget how 'romantic' our dinner was by the road side of Ban Hock road, should you know this placed, 'Lok Lok'.

Don't worry, we glad that we, both of us finished these stuff. Oh yes, we're too stuffed till can walk no more..... The best thing about this Lok Lok place, all the condiments are dipped, not fried like other places. Healthy!

This is for quenching Mr. Hubby's thirst but he said the taste was awkward. I told him it was just his feeling because this particular shop is using pure Air Mata Kucing (Luo Han Guo), unlike the cordial taste like we use to have outside Upwell Supermarket at Jalan Song. Haha!

BREAKFAST @ HOCK PING CAFE, PADUNGAN

We love to hunt for breakfast places every morning. If there are 200 kopitiams all over Kuching, we would prolly have jumped from one to another but I don't think we can achieve that. :p :p. The main reason why because my hubby is not as crazy as I am. This morning we found this hidden jewel at Padungan, just opposite Asia Clinic, within the Chinatown area. This place is called, Hock Ping Cafe.

I didn't feel like drinking hot beverage this morning so altogether we ordered; Kopi Peng - Cold Coffee with Milk.

Hubby can't take beef, nay, he's ain't a Buddhist but he has issue with high blood and heart so he opted for Kolok Mee. Quite a big portion and it's RM3.00.

For Miss Coki, she's very adventurous. Have been craving for Mee Kolok Sapi, God has granted me with a bowl this morning. Thank you Lord Jesus, I love you! This Mee Sapi is sold for RM3.50.

I like this place, the price is fair & cheap, yet the food taste good too.

DAMN, I HAVE SORE THROAT

Not feeling very well today. As usual, pile of documents waiting to be sorted on the table and guess what, I found this letter! Mama Belian & Cengal must be screaming to see this letter! Well, everyone knows that she's Hafiz AF7 No. 1 fan. Oh, my sore throat is killing me! I'm talking like a duck and nobody seems to understand me well. Oh my.... blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com

Glad Mr. Hubby came to cheer up my lifeless day. He brought me his broadband dongle. Yay!! I love you honey bunny! Well, why must wait, lets do some YouTube-ing! I managed to watch 'Sepi', oh no... another sad movie but I love it.

I wonder what is she doing at home? Wanted to give her a call but I know, she could never hear my voice, my uttered words. Look at her enjoying her Nasi Beriyani Ayam....

Just like Mommy!
